Railroad Bill’s to open on Saturdays

Railroad Bill's Dining Car is pleased to announce that we've added Saturday hours. Starting Saturday, April 21, we will be open every Saturday from 7 am to 2 pm.

Railroad Bill’s, located in the East Village's northeast corner, offers a classic diner breakfast and lunch menu. Menu highlights include items made with farm fresh eggs from our pals at nearby Raccoon Forks Farms, along with innovative vegetarian and vegan dishes. Also, be sure to ask about our weekly specials.

Stop in and see us on Saturday. We saved you a seat!

Storefront rehab project progress

Come see the progress we've made on the storefront rehabilitation project at Raccoon Forks Trading Co. and Railroad Bill's Dining Car! Windows and doors were recently installed on the east and west storefronts, and the scaffolding has been removed. Renaissance Restoration, of Galena, Ill., is doing the work on the building (built c. 1920), which has also included rebuilding the façade with the building's original brick and repairing the architectural detailing. The project was inspired by our enthusiasm for history and preservation, and our belief that the outside of our stores should reflect the quality of our carefully curated antique collection and the classic diner experience to be found inside. Here is a look at before and after photos:
